Did you know we have our only little Apiary here at the Swantown Inn & Spa? We call it Allan Apiaries (using our surname), and it it started because Nathan and our oldest daughter, Lauren, completed an Apprentice Beekeeping course a few years ago. We became Olympia Beekeepers!
We have had four seasons now and get a little better each year. A little more organized. A little more knowledgeable. A lot more bee gear and products!
We have have won both the Thurston County Fair and Washington State Fair in 2017. Not sure if we will enter again this year, with so much other work around the Inn going on!
We have plenty of honey for sale on site in our gift shop. Lauren also plans to make some lip balm and other body products to sell. The idea is she will have a little stand on the corner one day, along with selling the items in our gift shop.
